this standing desk is exactly what I needed and for the price you cant go wrong. I thought it was electric standing desk but it is a manual desk which is completely fine with me. The assembling was a little confusing at first but my hubby and I did it in less than an hour. You can use a drill to make the last part easier but I don’t think you NEED it. We did some with the drill and some with the screw driver since the drill was to big for some parts. hope this helps!

First height adjustable desk – love it!
I have a number of friends who really like their height adjustable desks. I’ve been wanting to try one out for myself for a full day as opposed to standing at someone else’s desk for a brief time.
I selected this desk because it is wide enough to hold either two monitors or two laptops. It is also deep enough to have a laptop on it and plenty of open space for a mouse, external keyboard, external speakers, a large monitor and even an external hard drive enclosure.
I was a little concerned when the box arrived and was pretty crunched up on one of the corners. When I opened it I was pleasantly surprised that all the pieces were intact and nothing was bent or broken.
The build process went quite smoothly overall. Total time from opening the box to completely built was just under an hour.
The black legs and black top look very sleek and match the my laptop and desk top and monitor.
What I like about this desk:
• The height adjust variance is great! It is plenty tall so that when I’m standing, I am not looking down at my monitor or laptop. When I’m seated, I can get it to the perfect height so it is also ergonomically friendly for my eyes arms and hands.
• The desk seems very stable and well designed.
• The handle to raise and lower it works very smoothly and folds away and tucks underneath the desk so you’re not catching a hip on it when standing or a knee on it when sitting.
• The instructions were easy to follow especially for anyone who’s built furniture before that requires assembly.
• I like that they had a bag of spare parts and actually wound up using one of the screws out of it.
• The desk I purchased came with two hooks that go underneath the desk on either side that can help with cable management or give you a place to hang your headphones when not using them.
• I am able to stand for a while and sit as needed. Adjustment is smooth and quite easy. I am not fully accustomed to working on my computer while standing for hours, so I can gradually work my way up to standing for longer periods of time.
What I didn’t like:
• Nothing so far. As long as it continues to perform as it does currently I will be very pleased.
Here are a couple tips for folks who don’t build a whole lot of assembly required furniture or desks.
1) when attaching the desktop to the metal brackets leave the screws 50% tightened so that you can align all of the screws and get them started before you tighten them up.
2) if you use an electric drill to drive the screws, set it to the lowest speed possible, or if it’s a variable speed go very slowly because it’s very easy to either strip out the screw heads.

Great budget desk. Not all the screws attached entirely securely to the wood (common issue with MDF board), as in they kept spinning when screwed all the way in. I found the screws to attach the lift mechanism a bit short, would have preferred a nut on the other side to further secure it.
